We have had Science Week when we had the amazing visit from Ruben Meerman, the Surfing Scientist (videos in previous blog post); we have been preparing for and have run our first Peer Support session on anti-bullying; we have been celebrating Book Week through our Art display in the Hall, and will have authors visiting next week; and we have been conducting an investigation into the student perceptions of their own Maths Learning here at school; and we have been spending time helping our Kindy buddies with their science unit on Living Things by helping them make Grass Heads. Phew!
That's all on top of our regular learning about Indigenous History, Comprehension Strategies in Reading Groups, Perspectives and Visual Literacy in English, and identifying and recording number patterns in Maths. I hope you enjoy the images below of some of the many activities mentioned above. (Including two shots of the 3-6 Disco - great work - those who attended dressed LOUD!)
